Since the pandemic, the proactive Mayor Topi Mamauag has always allocated budget to assist severely affected Cabagueños.
The Local Government Unit of Cabagan through the Public Employment Services Office and Municipal Treasurer’s Office, distributed financial assistance to 147 tricycle drivers in the Municipality of Cabagan. Tricycle drivers typically belong to low-income groups and have little access to formal financial services and survive with small daily earnings from a community-based transportation business. Knowing that their income declined significantly, Mayor Topi gave each of the tricycle drivers PhP3,700.
